"I have learned that FLL requires hard work, determination, dedication, teamwork, and passion. Without these key factors, it is impossible to achieve great things. Often, we feel like we're not making progress and feel like giving up, but FLL teaches you to always believe in yourself and your team if you want to go far. I have also developed and improved on many skills in FLL like coding, building, problem-solving, team building, and more! I've learned that it is not all about just winning a trophy, but about the journey that you've made. FLL has also made me realize that the world isn't a small place. It is huge and has so many problems. It has made me think outside of my zone and has hugely broadened my perspective. I am thankful for this because if I wasn't in FLL, I would have never even given a thought to the world around me, and would have just been going on with life. I am very grateful to be in FLL and I will surely continue it in the following years to come."

"The experience of FLL helped us be more aware of what is going on around the world and it teaches us to be considerate of everything we do. Our coaches motivated us whenever something didn’t work out and was always there for us whenever we needed it. Girl Scouts played a big role in our achievement because it connected us all together even though we are from different schools and different ages. It showed us that working together as a team can help us accomplish anything. "

“In my FLL journey of five years - I have learned that winning isn’t everything, it is about the road you take to get to that moment. Irrespective of the outcome of this competition, we want to develop our project and get a working model to the UN to help developing countries have a cheap, reliable, and renewable energy source. As Girl Scouts we strive every day to make the world a better place and this would be our small part to live up to it.”

"Although, what we’re doing in FLL is extremely cool like working on the robot, programming, and the innovation project, my favorite part is getting to spend time with the rest of the team. We always have a lot of fun while working together. It feels like one big family. All of the coaches and mentors have been really helpful too, they keep us prioritized and always urged us to keep going, and I appreciate them a lot for it. Going to competitions was always a bit stressful but I think we do a great job of keeping us all together. Working on the kite turbine was such an amazing experience for me. I've got to learn so much more about world problems and solutions and innovations which inspire me to keep working on our kite turbine solution so one day it will be helpful to our community and world. At each competition, during the awards ceremony, I would always think 'oh, we're going to get the next one' over and over again. And hey, it worked. But I'm convinced that we just have plot armor."

“I’ve been doing FIRST Lego league robotics for almost five years now and I never became so successful. FLL has taught me so much and challenged me a lot. Without FLL I wouldn’t have even attempted to learn or create/design solutions for the world. Winning qualifiers and then states has been absolutely great - definitely an experience that is unique and changed my point of view. Leaving FLL in a few months makes me feel bad but I will never forget these memories I made.”

“When we won the qualifiers it was amazing. I would say it was really easy for us, but winning qualifiers itself took tons of time and energy from all of us. We started our grind for qualifiers during August. And the months that followed, involved tons of research, programming, testing and time. There was so much fun as well; the dancing, music on blast and, well as a certain someone would say, cookies. I personally had a lot of fun along with everyone and doing what we could do. After we won the qualifiers we were pumped- a lot of yelling the song "Sunroof", food and so many congratulations!! We worked hard the next month till the states. The work on the robot, the new gyro programs, innovation project and documentation on my part. Winning States felt surreal. We were screaming at the top of our lungs and ran toward the stage followed by a photoshoot directed from the parents and ate out as a celebration. Now, we are taking a break until after New Year and work our hardest until we get to worlds, hopefully win and have that feeling rush into us again.”
